5k?
Oh my gosh. I’m supposed to run a 5k Saturday. I haven’t done much running at all this month. Here I have recruited people, at work, to get up and start walking. They are going to join me at this run. They will be seeing me in “action” for the first time, after listening to my stories about “running” up the ski mountains this summer. I’m afraid I’m going to embarrass myself.
I have this horrendous pain in my left heel. I believe it is a bit of the old plantar faciitious. I ran for 30 minutes today and both my feet were killing me. I know I need new shoes, but money is tight, and I’m trying to get by until Christmans. You know, to kill two birds with one stone.
I’ve been working on my aerobics routine, for my class I’ll be teaching, starting in Janurary. I am a bit insecure, so I have to practice everything until I have it down perfect. So, my feet are really taking a beating. Plus I’ve been walking with the girls at work to keep them motivated. Geez, I’m a real cry baby. It’s always something, with me.
Oh well, I’ll survive. If this was all easy, everyone would do it.

Come on, you can do it! Your feet can hurt you after the race. When you have spectators ( your walkers) your know you will show no pain. Good luck.

Something to consider: What if you made this race about something other than your “performance”? There are many more 5K’s you could sign up for where you could focus on your time or your style. What if you made this race about being there for your friends? What if your goal for the race is that everyone else finishes and has a good time? They trusted you enough to sign up with you, I bet they’d love if you were their cheerleader - and crossed the line with them as a team…
And for you, what if your goal was to have as much FUN as humanly possible?
Just some food for thought…… No matter your goals, have a SUPER DAY!!! You’ll be great!
