I just wanted to wish everyone, who is competing tomorrow, the best of luck. I know some of my friends are running. I know they’ll do great. My family and I are off to a little horse show. My 8 and 10 year old boys will be showing for the first time.(just for fun) Next week I have a goofy work schedule. Hopefully, I’ll get off my butt, and run, before it starts gettng big again.

I used to barrel race and do other speed events. Seems like a long time ago–oh, it was! It must be satisfying to see your sons show. What events will they do?

I did it!!! It was such an awesome experience!! My time was 2:05 — under my 2:10 goal. The weather was perfect. At mile 7, I commented that I felt like a machine. At mile 11, my friend look over and saw that I looked like death, apparently, and said, “You are okay.” I responded, “NO! I’m not. I dont like this anymore!” Other than a little attitude when I hit the wall, it was great. Coming down the stairs this morning was a little rough, but really not so bad. I cant wait to do another!! Thank you so much for your encouragement!!

Great to hear your boys did so well at the horse show. Did they have a good time? I was so nervous the first time I showed I locked myself in the bathroom and they had to bribe me out….hehe. I really cannot tell you how much I appreciate my parents for supporting me and allowing me to ride.
